Artist Website Relaunch & Blog Kick-off !

I have completely revamped my website, refining the structure I had been reconsidering for some time to better reflect my identity as an artist.
I’ve also organized my core Artist Statement page, bringing together the fundamental policies and perspectives that form the root of my creative work.
On this newly launched blog, I plan to document the specific processes and reflections behind my pieces, as well as my observations on drawing. I also hope to gradually share my daily thoughts and creative endeavors outside of painting.
The WORKS section has been organized into three main categories:
Collection: Works primarily featuring my current motifs: landscapes, cats, and figures.
Croquis (Mode Croquis): Drawings that capture the human form through the essence of speed.
Design: Samples of my professional practice as a designer (client work).
There are many works that don’t fit into these categories, and I’m sure I’ll continue to create more. I look forward to introducing those pieces individually here on this blog.
In addition, I have refreshed my Instagram. It will now work in tandem with this website, serving as a gallery for my artworks and croquis.

As my first post and a little test run, I’m sharing an illustration of a tiger I drew for the Year of the Tiger. Since that was a few years ago now, this piece is actually from three years back.
I remember focusing on the balance between the massive volume of the paws and the supple softness unique to felines. From a drawing perspective, it was fascinating to capture the form to create a sense of three-dimensionality, and to use the tiger’s stripes to express depth and perspective.
It wasn’t just about capturing the form; I felt as though my own way of seeing and my personal perceptions were flowing directly into the lines. Those lines become "touch," creating a mood that elevates a simple sketch into a true "work of art." This is something I always hold dear, and this particular piece gave me a strong sense of the joy of creation.
Why choose this piece for my first post? Well, the Hanshin Tigers just clinched the Central League title! While I was organizing my artwork for the website relaunch, I happened to come across this tiger. The timing couldn't be better, so I’d like to share this illustration along with a modest sense of celebration.
