I am very fond of studying and reflecting on dessin, so I intend to regularly write down my thoughts as a "record of exploration and memorandum.
" Today, a dessin of a man's face. While striving for simplicity as an expressive theme and firmly depicting a sense of three-dimensionality, I also wanted to study the unique qualities of men.

[Reflection] The Forms of Masculinity
The size of the jaw
The thickness of the neck
The relationship between the eyes and eyebrows (depth of the sockets)
The skeletal feel of the Adam's apple and neck How these are depicted significantly changes the impression. In other words, I feel that this is precisely where the room for creation lies.
[Structure] Notes on Form
To successfully distinguish and draw the "area difference" between the front and side of the face.
Be clearly conscious of the center of the mouth's volume so that it does not shift from the front.
Since the far side (mouth, eyes, jaw) becomes smaller, determine the overall balance before moving into the details.

[Discovery] Realizations
Shadows are not the only things that create three-dimensionality. The power of lines and forms vividly brings forth perspective and depth.
When I realize that, the subject begins to appear simpler and more free.
Leaving traces of drawing as notes also becomes a form of exploration.
Drawing based on the "Mode" philosophy brings many discoveries, which is truly enjoyable.
